Sculpture
Given a square of metal, a square of wood, and the prompt
"confusion," I created this sculpture.
Working to address the prompt, I feel the need to make sense of the material.
I turn to the two very different materials but the same shape square for stimulation.
I then gathered more materials, arranging them in ways that transformed into similar forms.
The mirror and the adjacent 2D drawing multiply the interaction but also creates projections that amplify the similarity.
