This is a material study of a found object that is often ignored in
its everyday use. As time passes, objects that are once new, are
worn and no longer cherished, forgetting how they used to be.
Observing the contrast and differences between two welding
sheets, I utilized the worn one, attempting to maximize the
potential of the object to be cherished.
Dragging the sculpture into the sunlight as the sun determined
the appearance of the material but also indicated the time
passed. Eventually, the material will continue to be worn down.
The interaction of light with the object caused not only the
object's appearance to change, but the interpretation of the visual
changes reflected the passage of time.
